1.What are online newspaper paywalls? Are they effective?
paywall is a method of restricting access to content via a paid subscription. Beginning in the mid-2010s, newspapers started implementing paywalls on their websites as a way to increase revenue after years of decline in paid print readership and advertising revenue. This is effective because it will make people who want to access a service pay for it, resulting in higher profits.

2.How are newspapers currentlyfunded? (think about advertising space, cover price of a newspaper & paywalls)
Newspapers are self-regulated but they may either choose to join IPSO or IMPRESS after what happened with the leveson enquiry

3.What are the roles of the IPSO and IMPRESS? Why do they exist? When have they been important?
IMPRESS is an indépendant press regulator fro the UK. Unlike IPSO, IMPRESS follows every single requirement of the leveson enquiry.

4.Why is the circulation and advertising revenue of newspapers declining?
Because technology advancing and the need for newspapers is declining. This is because news is now being presented on phones and online websites rather than in physical papers.

5.How far can online newspapers reach in terms of audience? Research The Guardian/Observer as examples. What online formats have they got?
They have a website and a twitter account meaning they can target different ages of audience; their primary audience and their secondary audiences

6.What are the difficulties in regulating an international online newspaper?
In every country there is different laws so you need to comply to all of them. Social media allows any news to be spread instantly so everyone will know about the stories
